EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Welcome to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Position Vacancy Website.

THE
CAMPUS

On the eve of the 100th anniversary of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, the university announces the implementation of the Growth, Quality, and Access agenda, representing our ongoing commitment to outstanding, high-quality undergraduate and graduate education in a public, comprehensive university setting. Under the dynamic leadership of Chancellor Joe Gow, we seek to hire approximately 75 new faculty members in more than 20 disciplines, as well as 25 staff members over the next three years.

UW-La Crosse, part of the University of Wisconsin System, has an enrollment of approximately 10,000 students and offers a wide array of undergraduate programs and a variety of graduate programs in the College of Business Administration, the College of Liberal Studies, and the College of Science and Health. UW-La Crosse provides a broad base of liberal education as a foundation for the intellectual, cultural, and professional development of our students. New programs are under development in management information systems, software engineering, athletic training, and international business. A multidisciplinary undergraduate research program is also in place.

Employees at the UW-La Crosse share in the loyalty and pride in being part of the important work done on this campus. UW-La Crosse provides opportunities to enhance the quality of life and promotes a healthy work life/family life and safe, drug-free environment while accommodating employees' special needs.

THE COMMUNITY

The city of La Crosse combines the scenic beauty of the Mississippi River and towering bluffs with a diversified economy and educated populace. Three colleges, two world class medical institutions, the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra, a restored nineteenth century downtown business district, and a number of galleries and art centers have made La Crosse a regional center for culture, entertainment, medical care, shopping, sports and four season recreation.  La Crosse has been voted one of the ten best cities in the U.S. in which to live. Current residents, newcomers, and potential residents of the La Crosse area will find Human Resources' Relocation web page useful.
