Pre-Physician Assistant Club

What is the Pre-Physician Assistant Club?

The Pre-PA Club is an organization that helps prepare interested students for the profession.  The Pre-PA Club provides students with a variety of opportunities to explore the profession in greater depth.

A main goal of the Pre-PA Club is to provide a comfortable, welcoming setting for students with common interests to interact and learn from one another.  We provide peer-advising sessions, volunteer opportunities, and sometimes just-plain-fun get-togethers when we all need them most.  Aside from member to member aided career exploration, we also look to the current PA students and local physician assistants for guidance and knowledge.

                                               UW-L Pre PA Club 2005-2006

                      State Road Elementary Playground Building

Several club members volunteered with other UW-L clubs and many community members in building two playground areas.

                      Claddagh House

The club offered a volunteer/fundraising experience in the Claddagh Houses, which involved cleaning and interacting with residents.

                            Rotary Lights

A group of club members volunteered at Riverside Park for the Rotary Lights Festival.  We were busy stringing lights, unloading props, and helping with many other requests.

                         Gundersen Lutheran Pediatrics

Many club members enjoyed making Thanksgiving decorations for Gundersen Lutheran's Pediatric Department.  We decorated the playroom in addition to doors of patient rooms.

Stay tuned for more pictures of club activities.  :-)
