Welcome to the Physician Assistant Program website. Here you will find information about many aspects of the program including curriculum, prerequisites, admissions, staff and facilities.

The PA Program represents a partnership involving the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse, the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Foundation and the Mayo Foundation. Within this partnership classes are taught on the campuses of all three partner institutions and most clinical experiences are provided at Gundersen Lutheran and Mayo Clinic practice sites. Program offices and many of the program’s classes are taught in the Health Science Center in La Crosse.

The first class of students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies Program in 1995. The program enrolled the first students in a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies curriculum in June of 2004.
