Faculty Teaching Opportunities


  • All dates are subject to change depending on flight schedules and other logistical considerations.

  • Faculty are responsible for the recruitment of students in order to participate; classes that do not meet minimum enrollments (15-18 students) will be cancelled.

  • Arrangement for travel, housing, and registration of students will be the responsibility of the Office of International Education.

  • Applications must be submitted by April 1st.

Galway, Ireland 2011
Summer Session
Number of Teaching Positions: 2-4

This 4-week program will be led by UW-L faculty members hosted on the campus of the National University of Ireland, Galway. Students participating in the program may enroll in two courses offered by UW-L faculty. Faculty will be selected to teach based on a balance of courses in order to attract students from a variety of disciplines. The program will be open to freshman, so lower level, General Education courses are encouraged. Teaching faculty will be responsible for proposing course-related field trips, which must be incorporated into the program fee as early as possible but no later than January 2010.
