Key Initiatives
A $27.1 million state-of-the-art structure designed for academic programs, research, and complementary services.
With a hub at the Health Science Center, the multi-site network supports educational programming for individuals working in health care.
A collaborative effort, the Committee’s work is to identify and implement solutions to prevent workforce shortages in the region.
Experts provide remediation in addition to literacy prevention and intervention services for children and adults in the region.
In addition to these established initiatives, several other projects are being developed. The nursing programs of Viterbo, WWTC, and UW-Madison, in collaboration with other academic programs, are creating a patient simulation laboratory in the Health Science Center. And, working groups of individuals are focused on public health concerns such as obesity, drug and alcohol abuse, and bioterrorism preparedness.
