UW-L Wins Three of Four Matches at Simpson Invite

Indianola, Iowa – The UW-La Crosse volleyball team, ranked 18th in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), went 3-1 at the two-day Simpson College Invitational Friday and Saturday. The Eagles are now 15-4 on the season.

UW-L defeated Principia College (Ill.) 3-1 (30-23, 30-24, 24-30, 30-25) and Simpson 3-1 (26-30, 30-15, 30-22, 30-20) in Friday's action.

The Eagles came back to record a 3-2 (30-25, 23-30, 27-30, 30-27, 15-9) win over Loras College (Iowa) Saturday morning before a 3-2 (30-16, 30-20, 22-30, 25-30, 10-15) loss to Wartburg College (Iowa) in their final match.

Katyeln Carlson and Brianne Stankus were both named to the all-tournament team for UW-L.

UW-L returns to action Wednesday, October 3 at UW-Platteville at 7 p.m.
