UW-L Competes at Schlender Last Chance Meet; Ellingstad Automatically Qualifies for NCAA III Championships

Whitewater, Wis. - The UW-La Crosse women's track & field team competed at the Karl Schlender Last Chance Meet Friday night at UW-Whitewater. No team scores were kept.

The Eagles' Alecia Ellingstad finished second in the pole vault with an NCAA Division III automatic qualifying mark of 12-7 1/2. UW-L's Jamie Scott was fourth in the pole vault (11-7 3/4).

Katie Fondow improved her provisional mark in the triple jump with a fourth-place finish (37-6 3/4). Abby Schulz was sixth in the triple jump 36-8 1/2.

UW-L returns to action Saturday, March 7 at the UW-Stevens Point Last Chance Meet.
