UW-L Ends Spring Trip with Victory

Orlando, Fla. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women’s tennis team improved to 9-5 on the season with a 9-0 victory over Franklin Pierce College (N.H.) Wednesday in Orlando. The Ravens fell to 0-8 on the year.

In singles play, UW-L's Carlie Bohrman defeated Lauren Smilovich at No. 1 (6-0, 6-0) while Debbie Braun beat Mariana Zahora at No. 2 (6-1, 6-2).

Katie McDonald defeated Bianca LaPointe at No. 3 singles (6-1, 6-0), Kristen Holle defeated Erin Whyman at No. 4 (6-2, 6-1), Katie Cegelski beat Francesca Santero at No. 5 (6-0, 6-0) and Jill Stenzel earned a win over Monica Lavertu at No. 6 singles (6-0, 6-0).

UW-L returns to action versus St. Olaf College (Minn.) Friday, April 4 in Rochester, Minnesota at 7 p.m.
