UW-L Falls at University of Chicago in Non-Conference Play

Chicago, Ill. The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team dropped to 8-5-1 on the season with a 4-0 loss at the University of Chicago Wednesday afternoon at Stagg Field. The Maroons improve to 8-3-3 with their victory.
Chicago finished with 18 shots to UW-L's four in the match. The Maroons led 1-0 at halftime after Olivia Ndyabagye scored at 10:58 with an assist from Anne Scherer. Chicago then scored three times in the second half. Claire Gill notched a goal at 62:52 with an assist from Katie Manuelli, who then scored 40 seconds later at 63:32 to make it 3-0. Melissa Plesac finished the scoring at 69:31 with Eva DeLaurentiss getting the assist.
Amanda Sutter (two saves) and Polly Cline combined on the shutout for Chicago. Lindsay Greden recorded three saves for UW-L.
The Eagles return to action Saturday, October 20 hosting UW-Oshkosh in the regular-season home finale at 2 p.m.
