UW-L Competes at Badger Open and Pointer Invite

Madison, Wis. - The UW-La Crosse men's track & field team competed at the Wisconsin Badger Open and Eastbay/Pointer Invitational Saturday. No team scores were kept at the Badger Open while the Eagles finished third out of 10 teams at the Pointer Invite.
In Madison, the Eagles' Luke Crowley captured the weight throw (56-5 3/4) Saturday while Aaron Johnson was second (52-9 1/2) and Bill Warren fifth (47-4 1/2).
UW-L's Bobby Riley placed third (52-10) and Bill Warren fourth (51-8 1/2) in the shot put.
Jamar Jackson recorded a pair of top-three finishes on the track, placing second in the 60-meter hurdles (8.24) and third in the 60-meter dash (7.12). UW-L's Luke Ackerson finished fourth (7.45) in the 60-meter dash while Patrick Bryan was fifth (7.70).
Other top finishes on the track included Eric Hill fourth in the mile run (4:39.92) and McCauley Kraker fifth in the 800-meter run (1:59.16).
At UW-Stevens Point, Paul Moran won the 5,000-meter run (15:37.01) while Dave Stauder captured the high jump (6-8) and Jessie Dengsavang the triple jump (46-10 1/4).
UW-L also captured the 4x400-meter relay (3:20.01) and distance medley realy (10:00.73).
Matt Gordy was second in the 55-meter dash (6.38) and Zach Lee third in the 200-meter dash (22.71).
