PSYCHOLOGY CLUB
The
Psychology Club is open to any interested undergraduate. It frequently hosts
speakers on a variety of topics including career exploration. Check the
bulletin board outside 335 Graff Main Hall for upcoming meetings. Dr.
Bart VanVoorhis is the Faculty Advisor. The Psychology Club hosts a
"Career Night" for psychology majors in the Spring.
Psi
Chi is a national honors society for psychology majors. A student must be a
junior, have 9 credits in psychology and a GPA of at least 3.00 (and in the
upper 35% of their class = 3.33 in Psychology). Inductions occur once
a year in the spring. If you are a junior or senior in psychology and are
eligible, you will be mailed an invitation to join. Psi Chi and Psychology
Club do many of their activities together, but Psi Chi focuses more exclusively
on advanced research and graduate school planning. Psi Chi hosts a
"Graduate School Night" in the Fall. For the past several years, Psi
Chi has helped to sponsor students interested in going to the Midwestern
Psychological Association's conference in May in Chicago. Check the bulletin
board outside 335 Graff Main Hall for upcoming meetings. Dr. Betsy Morgan
is the Faculty Advisor. Dr. Morgan is also serving as the Midwestern
Regional Vice President for 2006-2010.
