Carlson Named WIAC Athlete of the Week

Madison, Wis. University of Wisconsin-La Crosse senior outside hitter Kateyln Carlson of Rochester, Minn. (Mayo) has been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Player of the Week.
Carlson was named to the Simpson College (Iowa) Invitational All-Tournament Team after averaging 3.22 kills, 3.56 digs and 0.78 blocks September 28-29. She had double-digit kills in three of four matches and double-digit digs in all four. Carlson had 19 kills and 22 digs in a 3-2 victory over Loras College (Iowa).
For the week, she averaged 3.48 kills and 3.24 digs per game. Carlson leads UW-L with a 3.64 kills per game this year.
UW-L returns to action Wednesday, October 3 at UW-Platteville at 7 p.m.
