Eagles Sweep Duals at UW-Stevens Point

Stvens Point, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women’s tennis team improved to 3-0 on the season with a pair of victories Saturday afternoon at UW-Stevens Point. The Eagles defeated the host Pointers 5-4 before a 5-4 win over St. Norbert College (Wis.).

Against UW-Stevens Point, Katie McDonald (No. 2) and Carlie Bohrman (No. 4) won in singles play for UW-L. The Eagles swept the three doubles matches as Debbie Braun/Sarah Schoenwaelder (No. 1), McDonald/Bohrman (No. 2) and Britt Wagner/Kelley McDonell (No. 3) all recorded wins.

The Eagles then won three of six matches in singles play and two of three doubles matches versus St. Norbert.

Borhman (No. 4), Kristen Holle (No. 5) and Anna Schmidt (No. 6) won in singles play. McDonald/Bohrmann (No. 2) and Wagner/McDonnell (No. 3) won in doubles.

UW-L returns to action Friday, September 21 at the ITA Midwest Regional in St. Peter, Minn. at 9 a.m.
