UW-L Ranked in D3football.com Top-25 Poll

La Crosse, Wis. - The UW-La Crosse football team made its season debut on the D3football.com Top-25 Sunday night ranked 24th in NCAA Division III. The Eagles have 88 points in this week's rankings.
Mt. Union (Ohio) is ranked first with 623 points while UW-Whitewater is second with 602 and Mary Hardin-Baylor (Texas) third with 575. Mt. Union received 23 first-place votes while UW-Whitewater received two.
Wheaton (Ill.) is fourth (532 points) while Wesley (Del.) is fifth (499). St. John's, Minn. is sixth (448) followed by Ohio Northern (405), Washington & Jefferson, Pa. (363), Cortland State, N.Y. (340) and Case Western Reserve, Ohio (335) to round-out the top-10.
UW-Stevens Point fell from seventh to 17th in this week's poll while UW-Eau Claire is receiving votes.
UW-L improved to 2-0 on the season with a 49-24 victory over Azusa Pacific University (Calif.) Sept. 12 in the first collegiate game played at the newly constructed Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. The Eagles return to action Saturday, Sept. 26 hosting Missouri University of Science & Technology at 4 p.m.
The D3football.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly.
